We had a bad experience here but it was not the fault of the staff, it was other customers! The food was fantastic, staff were friendly and helpful and after we explained we had a less than satisfactory experience with the customers we were next to they even offered us a voucher to return and have drinks by way of an apology. A lovely location, lovely menu and fantastic service.

This restaurant is so well located, just in front of the beautiful marina. Initially we seated in their fantastic terrace but we had to move inside as the day was very windy. The ambience is very cozy and pleasant. The food and drinks were amazing and the staff very friendly. Would love to go back in my next visit to the town!

Great place to visit although it can get really busy, which in its self is great, however the downfall of this is that the service slips. Great friendly staff but when it gets busy it can show and you end up waiting quite a while. They could sell more drinks if they checked up on customers a little more (not allowed to go upto the bar and have to wait at your table - by that time you've pratically finished the lovely food they serve). Great decor, great staff, great food with good presentation by the chef (s). We shall be back, but please take note about checking up on customers (maybe keep a closer eye out when glasses get low on tables;) - or be able to walk upto the bar if table staff are busy. Great view of the harbour adds to the vibe. Thankyou

We came here for a late lunch on Easter Sunday. Really lovely restaurant, dog friendly and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The 1/2 a lobster was gorgeous, as were the mussels. High quality fish dishes, and the non-fish dishes we had (steak and a chicken pasta) were also really well presented and super tasty. Service was brilliant, we had Jacqueline (? not 100% certain that's her name but it was the waitress with the American accent) and you couldn't fault her, really attentive and just generally a lovely person to chat to! Highly recommend this restaurant.

I have visited Offshore on several occasions, it’s one of my favourite sun spots to sit and watch the world go by. I love their mocktails, so delightfully presented, the strawberry daiquiri is my favourite. They have local Devon Rock on draught, along with an abundant drinks menu, to suit every palate. The food is always fresh, delicious and full of flavour. The scallops were meaty, juicy and just melted in your mouth, paired with the maple and bacon butter - perfection. The chilli butter crevettes were stunning, such a treat, their seafood really showcases the best of the bay! The whole roasted market fish was so flavourful, freshly caught and beautifully dressed. The staff are always very friendly, attentive and welcoming. I will keep returning, Offshore is definitely a must visit in Torquay!

We would like to say a big thank you to Offshore for yesterday evening. The restaurant just along from Offshore could not serve 9 of us a cup of tea after our meals which came to over 245 as their coffee machine broke and they didn't have a kettle!. We went to Offshore who couldn't have been more hospitable. We all had a cuppa to celebrate our grandsons 10th birthday. They brought out his cake with candles all burning singing happy birthday. We are so grateful to them for making our grandsons evening special. X

Location

The Offshore Bar and Restaurant is a hidden gem located right by the marina at Harbour, 13-14 Vaughan Parade, Torquay. This vibrant establishment captures the essence of coastal dining with its inviting atmosphere and stunning views of the harbor.

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm ambiance that perfectly blends relaxation with excitement. The decor is a delightful mix of nautical charm and contemporary design, making it an ideal spot for families, couples, and friends alike. Dining here feels like a mini-vacation, where every detail enhances your experience.

The menu at The Offshore is a feast for the senses. One highlight is the Offshore burger, featuring a juicy 6oz beef patty encased in a soft brioche bun. Topped with Cheddar cheese, fresh vegetables, and served with crispy fries, it’s a meal that successfully balances comfort food with culinary finesse, all for just £15.50.

  • Chargrilled lamb cutlets at £21.95 are another standout. Paired with mint and spring onion crushed potatoes, pickled vegetables, and coriander yogurt, each bite is a delicious celebration of flavor.
  • If you crave something more substantial, the 6oz fillet steak with chunky chips and garlic butter promises to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites, priced at £29.95.
  • For a unique twist, don't miss the confit belly pork served alongside a spiced carrot purée – a dish that truly reflects the chef’s creativity and knack for flavor combinations.

Of course, no visit is complete without indulging in their array of hot drinks. The deluxe hot chocolate (here's a treat for all chocolate lovers) comes topped with cream and mini marshmallows, at just £3.95, while the creamy mocha offers a rich espresso blend for £4.00, perfect for warming your spirits on a cool day.

Customer feedback paints a picture of The Offshore as a beloved local haunt. Many guests have raved about the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff. One visitor, Amy R, appreciated the delicious food and friendly service, even after an unfortunate incident with other diners. This speaks volumes about the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction, as they offered her a voucher for a return visit, demonstrating their dedication to ensuring every guest leaves happy.

Despite occasionally bustling crowds, Dancing Squid remarked on the great food and friendly service, with a note for staff to keep a closer eye on customer needs during busy times. The stunning views and cheerful vibe of The Offshore make it a place worth returning to time and again.
